About
Founded in 2020, Ladin Özden Atelier was born from a love of artistic heritage and the pure joy of creation. For me, it’s not about making more things to sell—it’s about building a colorful universe where every piece carries soul, story, and emotion.
Here, tradition meets the present, and forgotten crafts are reborn with a playful spirit. The energies of diverse geographies and eras converge, giving life to an eclectic style that celebrates individuality. Every design is made slowly, with care for nature, for the hands that shape it, and for the person who will one day wear it.
I don’t create on a schedule. I make what I feel, when I feel it, and that’s why my designs are timeless and borderless—you never know when a new piece will appear in this universe.
Each creation is different—sometimes bold, sometimes romantic, always happy—made to intersect with your life exactly when it’s meant to. I have never believed in repetition; after all, does a painter ever create the same painting twice? For me, designing is art, and each piece deserves to remain one of a kind.
This is how my brand came to be: not to fill closets or drawers, but to fill hearts.
ABOUT THE PERSON BEHIND THE BRAND
Art has always been the air I breathe. I grew up surrounded by it—my mother, a landscape architect by day and jewelry designer by night, weaving beauty into everything she touched, and my uncle, a painter, whose atelier felt like a universe of its own. Hours would slip away there as I discovered that art isn’t something you make—it’s something you live.
From an early age, I was drawn to anything creative: painting, sculpting, playing instruments, and experimenting with whatever I could get my hands on. That curiosity became a playful obsession—painting rocks, turning scraps into treasures, and even making magnets to sell to neighbors at ten.
Studying product design at the university gave me a deeper perspective—getting my hands dirty in ateliers, working from the tiniest scraps to huge mock-ups, living the full product cycle, and learning how even the smallest detail can change everything. A hidden stitch, a subtle shift—that, to me, feels like magic.
At the age of 19, I took a leap and spent a year in Naples studying fashion—discovering independence, courage, and the joy of creating my own space. I wandered through vintage stores, design markets, galleries, and museums, diving into archives and learning from the streets what no classroom could ever teach me.
Back in Istanbul, the treasure hunt continued—I collected garments, accessories and vintage pieces, selling them at street markets and finding joy in recycling and sharing. Eventually, Italy called me back, this time to Milan, where I completed a master’s in luxury management, knowing deep down that I would one day create my own label.
Slowly, almost without realizing it, my brand began to take shape—turning leftover fabrics into unique garments and upcycling vintage textiles into bags, blending heritage with imagination. Three years ago, I decided to fully dedicate myself to this biggest project of mine, my creative sanctuary: Ladin Özden Atelier.
I’m still experimenting, just as I did when I was ten—playing, creating, and having fun along the way.
This is my world, built from passion and care, and I am grateful you found your way here.
